Spring and songbirds

Spring is in the air ...and I'm emerging from my winter hibernation! I got to the end of last year feeling pretty depleted. It was a great year on paper - I'd released two singles, a music video, my second EP, and also completed my first headline tour. I was really proud of all these things ...but I was also really exhausted from doing it all whilst battling a lot of illness (what was it with viruses last year??) and heartache. I felt like I needed a bit of a re-set so I made a conscious decision to take my foot off the pedal for a while and have a nice little winter hibernation. I then started the new year with a couple of nice London trips in January, where I did loads of creative things and started to feel really refreshed and positive about the year ahead. And now it's nearly March ...and I have my first gig of the year on Thursday! And it's a GORGEOUS one! 'Songbirds' - an intimate songwriters' round with two of my favourite humans, Gemma Gray and Julia Waldron. The gig is also at one of my favourite places on earth - the lovely Cafe #9 - and it's sold out, wuhooo! Then I also have a couple of lovely support slots later in the month for Liverpool legends Ian Prowse & Amsterdam and Nashville artist Stacy Antonel. What a lovely way to emerge from hibernation! Hope to see you somewhere soon :)
