Lovely Leek and a lot of 'firsts'!

Earlier this month I had the pleasure of playing the Leek Blues & Americana festival for the first time. It was a lovely little festival spread throughout different town-centre venues. I played in the gorgeous covered courtyard of Leek Bar & Grill. The organisers and audience were lovely, and I even got presented with my own portrait by local artist Gavin Bowyer (see photos)! I also got to meet some great people, including the fab Mike Ross and Kerry Fearon - both amazing performers - and the folks from Forever British Country, who are great supporters of British country artists. Last month I also played three lovely 'first' gigs - my first outing for 'Wagonwheel Presents' promotions, my first guest appearance for the wonderful Chorlton Country Club folks, and my first Songwriters round for Steel & Wire. Hopefully I'll get to do more of all those things in the future! Next month I'm playing my first gig for 'Hen House Presents' over in Manchester, supporting Robin Evans.
